Ponzi was born Andrew D’Allesandro an renamed “PONZI” after the get-rich-scheme popular pre-stock market crash in 1920’s. He won world 14.1 championships in 1934, 40 &43. He always went for the shot instead of playing defensively and played to the crowd.
